2025 Annual Business Meeting

On January 19th, 2025, the members of the Nelsonville Assembly will gather to reflect upon and celebrate what God has done over the last year. While we gain much from looking back, we do so to help us better look ahead. In our meeting, we will hear about plans for the future and conduct a series of elections for positions of service in our church body.

In the days and weeks before the meeting, we encourage every member to prayerfully consider and let us know who they would recommend for each of these roles.

The four positions to pray and think about are:

  • Deacon (3-year term)

  • Church Treasurer (1-year term)

  • Sunday School Superintendent (1-year term)

  • Sunday School Secretary (1-year term)

Each recommendation that is made will allow us to talk with that person, ensure their qualification for the position, and give them time to think and pray about their interest in serving in that role in the upcoming year. Elections will occur in the business session as usual, with the first ballot being a nominating one that can include qualified individuals who were not recommended ahead of time through this process, but we believe that having time to prepare in this way serves the whole body better.
