REGISTRATION

Hello Sister in Christ!

We have been so encouraged by the response to this event. Clearly, this event is meeting a felt need in the community. Our goal is simple - to come together as sisters in Christ to worship, hear the Word, and connect as friends. God has graciously blessed our time together in years past, and we are anticipating Him to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine this year.

We want you to feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the doors, so here are some answers to questions you may have in your mind about this event.

  • Please wear whatever you'd like to! Most ladies come in a dressy casual kind of look, while some dress up more and others prefer jeans and a t shirt. Come in whatever makes you feel comfortable!

  • On Friday night, the doors open at 5pm. We will have an assortment of drinks for you to choose from, as well as a sweet and salty snack. After the service, we serve a charcuterie board style of snacks including cheeses, crackers, meats, fruit, and of course....chocolate! On Saturday morning we serve a light breakfast of fruit and pastries with coffee and juice.

  • This event is paid for and hosted by Nelsonville Assembly of God. Our church believes in the importance of reaching out to our community, and this event aims to connect local churches for a time of spiritual refreshment. It is planned by several ladies in our church. Volunteers from other churches help to greet and serve food as well. If you'd like to volunteer in some way or donate a gift basket to give away, please let us know!

  • Of course! You will laugh, have fun, and be blessed. There will be plenty of friendly faces to greet you and make you feel welcome. We believe the Lord wants to speak to each lady in attendance and that He has good things in store for you if you step out in faith!

  • Absolutely! There will be plenty of food and space for her, however, she may not get a t shirt. The order for the shirts will be placed on August 1 and there will be a limited number of extras to give away, but please go ahead and ask her to register at nelsonvilleag.org/awaken so we have an accurate headcount if possible.

  • This event is not for children. However, if you are nursing a baby we do have accommodations for you to bring your little one so that you can nurse wherever is most comfortable for you (in the sanctuary or in the foyer with the service streamed to the TV).

  • Nelsonville Assembly of God. The address is 1145 County Road 104, Ewing, MO 63440. We are located 8 miles north of Philadelphia off of Highway D. You'll see the signs to turn off of D. We are right next to the Nelsonville Baptist Church which you can clearly see from Highway D. Please use the front doors (under the drive up) when arriving on Friday night to check in.

  • It really is! No strings attached! All of your food and t shirt is a gift from us. Every year, we highlight a local ministry and ask ladies to pray about giving towards that, but there is no obligation to do so.

  • The best way to get any last minute updates for this event will be through our Facebook event. You can go to our church page, Nelsonville Assembly of God and search for the event. Be sure to click on "I'm Going" to get the updates in your notifications!

Every year at our Ladies event, we highlight a ministry that we can bless. This year we are excited to have Connect Child & Family Solutions join us. They are an amazing resource that help children and foster families in Quincy and the surrounding area. They are in need of hygiene products for the placement backpacks that they deliver to foster families when a child gets placed in their home. You can be a part of this ministry by donating any of the items below. Everyone who brings a donated item will get entered to win a Swag Bag (including a Almond Rose Stanley Quencher and Awaken Devotional)! Drawing will take place on Friday night. An offering for Connect will also be taken during the Friday night service.
